Manufacturing Engineer

Manufacturing Engineer Description Define and solve technical problems in manufacturing, assembly, and testing environments. Implement cost-saving and process improvement initiatives on assigned product lines. Collaborate with design engineering teams to enhance manufacturability of products. Develop efficient production workflows and determine optimal sequencing of operations. Prepare cost estimates for proposed projects and analyze cost factors. Support facility layouts for manufacturing processes and equipment as needed. Solve manufacturing challenges of varying complexity. Design tools, fixtures, and gauges using SolidWorks or similar to improve manufacturing processes and address safety concerns. 3D printing of fixtures. Create detailed assembly work instructions using Microsoft Power Point. Program laser printers and develop operator instructions for laser printing processes. Utilize RTX-Lifecycle-Program-Management (RLPM) for New Product Introduction projects (NPI) to develop build plans for new designs. Develop and maintain production routers and bill of materials. Collaborate with quality and suppliers to resolve quality and technical issues. Conduct compliance reviews to ensure conformance with customer specifications and requirements. Support the project pipeline process to select, prioritize and scope projects to increase First Pass Yield and throughput across the value stream Support the project pipeline process to select, prioritize and scope projects to business objectives, integrated with other continuous improvement activities and CORE initiatives. Drive targeted manufacturing process optimization activities using MRL tools such as Process Control Plans and PFMEA Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Bohemia, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
