Manufacturing / Industrial Products Engineering About the Opportunity A well-established and growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to lead new product development initiatives, drive product improvements, and provide technical leadership within a collaborative engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working on complex mechanical products from concept through commercialization while partnering closely with operations, quality, sales, and customer-facing teams. Key Responsibilities Lead cross-functional product development projects from concept through production release. Design and maintain engineering models and drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Manage bills of materials (BOMs), engineering changes, product costing, and ERP releases. Review and evaluate custom or non-standard engineering requests. Support manufacturing, machining, assembly, testing, and production operations. Conduct product testing, design reviews, and risk assessments. Develop engineering standards, design guidelines, and best practices. Utilize analysis, simulation, and validation methods to ensure product performance and reliability. Drive continuous improvement, value engineering, and cost reduction initiatives. Collaborate with operations, quality, product management, customer service, and sales teams. Mentor and develop junior engineers through coaching and technical guidance. Support ISO quality and environmental management system requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline preferred. Minimum five years of engineering experience in product design, manufacturing, industrial equipment, or similar environments. Proven experience leading product development projects from concept through launch. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and cost estimation. Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, PDM/document control systems, and ERP systems. Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, solve technical problems, and work across departments. Experience within industrial, mechanical equipment, fluid handling, waterworks, valves, pumps, or related industries is a plus. PE license or EIT certification is beneficial but not required.
