Project Engineer

Overview System One is working with a manufacturing company in the Tulsa, OK area to hire a Project Engineer/Manager. Responsibilities Manage continual improvement projects in both manufacturing and office environments. Oversee capital projects for new manufacturing equipment. Facilitate and participate in cross-functional teams. Maintain and fill project hopper; work with Operational Excellence Manager to prioritize projects according to the selection criteria. Organize and deliver project update status reports to project owners and management. Coordinate all projects within operational excellence to achieve annual cost savings goals. Ensure strategic alignment and timely execution of projects. Requirements Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Green Belt Lean Six Sigma Certification or other Lean certifications. 3 years of project management training or experience managing capital or continuous improvement projects. Manufacturing experience with metal or high-volume products. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams. Ability to provide formal reports, calculate ROI, implement metrics, and audit procedures. High proficiency in MS Office software. Experience with industrial coating processes, industrial automation or robotics, roll forming or tube mills is a plus. Ability to manage own projects and champion projects managed by others.
