Apply Now Description The Manufacturing Engineer reports to the Director of Engineering and supports engineering project execution, new equipment installations, building and facility projects, and maintenance improvement activities across Direct Wire facilities. This position assists with project planning, equipment layout, contractor and vendor coordination, startup and commissioning, troubleshooting support, preventive maintenance improvement, and documentation. The role works closely with Maintenance, Production, Engineering, Safety, vendors, and contractors to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, support plant operations, and ensure projects are completed safely, effectively, and in compliance with company requirements. EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related technical field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment, maintenance, facilities, reliability, project engineering, or plant engineering.
- Experience supporting new equipment installation, commissioning, building projects, facility systems, preventive maintenance, and reliability improvement.
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, HVAC, utility, and building systems.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, equipment manuals, layouts, and technical documentation.
- Ability to develop project scopes, coordinate vendors and contractors, follow schedules, track action items, and communicate project status clearly.
- Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with maintenance technicians, production employees, contractors, vendors, and management.
- Knowledge of 2D CAD and 3D modeling. AutoCAD and SolidWorks experience preferred.
- Must be self-directed, dependable, and capable of working independently while keeping the Director of Engineering informed on priorities, risks, and progress.
- Must be able to manage multiple priorities and adjust well to changing conditions.
- Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
