View More Jobs Manufacturing Engineer II Saint Paul, MN, United States Job Description SUMMARY BLUvera, Mortenson's vertically integrated manufacturing and fabrication affiliate, is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to join the construction products manufacturing and fabrication process engineering department. This role is responsible for leading process improvements in plant operations, developing and implementing manufacturing processes, and providing hands-on maintenance and engineering support. Reporting directly to the Operations Engineering Manager, the Manufacturing Engineer will ensure plant objectives in safety, quality, customer service, and cost are met through efficient and effective operations. The ideal candidate will have a combination of previous hands-on and design experience in equipment maintenance, process, and product design.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, and overall productivity Leveraging your experience and technical expertise, you will participate in projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the continuous improvement of manufacturing operations Utilize CAD/CAM software for CNC part design and toolpath creation, editing G-code to optimize machining performance Monitor and standardize operating procedures for automated light-gauge steel roll forming equipment, ensuring structural precision for construction industry standards Lead root cause analysis efforts and implement corrective and preventive actions to address process issues. Provides hands-on maintenance and engineering support to troubleshoot technical issues Identifies, documents, and drives preventative maintenance activities for automated machinery Works with production leaders to develop and implement technical training for team members Leverages strong interpersonal skills to connect with diverse internal and external stakeholders Performs all other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering preferred) 3+ years of assembly/manufacturing experience with emphasis on continuous process improvement Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent root cause analysis skills Proven problem-solving and organizational skills Experience leading continuous improvement and change management activities Experience with MasterCAM, AutoCAD, or Solidworks software Active listening skills and effective communication; openness to diverse input and feedback Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite A few benefits offered include: (for Non-Craft & Non-Union Craft working 25+ hours / week) Medical and prescription drug plans that includes no additional cost vision coverage Dental plan 401k retirement plan with a generous Mortenson match Paid time off, holidays, and other paid leaves Employer paid Life, AD&D, and disability insurance No-Cost mental health tool and concierge with extensive work-life resources Tuition reimbursement Adoption Assistance Gym Membership Discount Program The base pay range for this role is $89,500
  • $134,300. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL
  • 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR

5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson's incentive plan.
