Job Description
Job Title:
Plumbing Design Engineer Responsibilities Design plumbing systems for various building projects. Perform load calculations and system analysis. Select and size plumbing equipment and systems. Develop construction documents, drawings, and specifications using Revit. Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes and industry standards. Coordinate with other departments and teams throughout the design process. Assist with site visits as necessary. Essential Skills Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD. Experience in plumbing design for buildings. Experience supporting projects from schematic design to construction documents. Ability to perform load calculations and system analysis. Knowledge of industry codes and standards (IPC/UPC, IBC standards). Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. 3-6+ years of MEP/AEC plumbing design experience. Certification preferred. LEED Accreditation is a plus. Proficiency in Bluebeam and/or Newforma is beneficial. Commercial or high-rise/multi-building residential experience is highly preferred. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $34.62 - $52.40/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
