The ideal candidate will have strong experience in fiber optic network architecture, OSP design, FTTH engineering, CAD drafting, and construction documentation. Duties Design complete FTTH fiber optic networks from the initial concept through construction-ready plans. Develop the overall architecture and topology of FTTH networks. Design fiber routes, distribution networks, feeder and distribution segments, and customer drop infrastructure. Prepare detailed construction drawings, permit drawings, and as-built documentation. Develop splice diagrams, fiber assignments, connectivity plans, and network documentation. Design and document fiber distribution hubs, cabinets, closures, terminals, and other network components. Review field conditions and incorporate field information into network designs. Coordinate designs with utilities, municipalities, clients, contractors, and field crews. Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare material requirements based on the design. Review and update plans based on construction changes and field conditions. Ensure designs comply with project specifications, applicable standards, and permitting requirements. Work closely with project managers and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle. Requirements Experience designing FTTH / Fiber Optic networks. Strong knowledge of OSP (Outside Plant) fiber optic design. Experience creating detailed construction drawings and engineering plans. Proficiency in AutoCAD or comparable CAD software. Ability to read and interpret utility maps, construction plans, and field information. Experience with fiber optic network architecture and documentation. Knowledge of fiber counts, splice planning, fiber assignments, and distribution design. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects. Ability to communicate effectively with engineering, construction, and project management teams. Experience with ARC GIS or fiber design software is a plus. Requirements Experience designing FTTH networks for residential deployments. Experience with OSP engineering and utility infrastructure. Experience with rural and city requirements. Experience with GIS, QGIS, ArcGIS, IQGeo, Vetro, AutoCAD, or similar platforms. Experience preparing complete construction packages for field crews. We are looking for someone who can independently take a FTTH project, develop the complete network architecture, design the fiber routes and distribution, create the construction drawings and documentation, and deliver a complete package ready for construction.
Pay:
$1.00 - $2.00 per week
