Overview
ISO-9001
2015 certified manufacturer of precision semiconductor sockets seeks a manufacturing productivity specialist with in-depth expertise and proven track record of increasing productivity and reducing waste in small, tight tolerance piece part manufacturing environments.Reporting to:
Engineering Manager Primary Responsibilities and Objectives- Analyze and troubleshoot problems that arise in real time that impede throughput or reduce quality
- Identify and implement ways to improve productivity and reduce waste through equipment, tooling, material, and process improvements
- Create or enhance work instructions, and provide associated training, as needed
- Define and lead lean manufacturing projects - for faster delivery, better quality, and reduced cost
- Load and maintain manufacturing data in ERP system
- Implement capital projects involving new equipment, new tooling, production workflow/layout optimization, etc. as required
- Assist Engineering Manager with other projects as required. Required Experience
- Min. 10 years as manufacturing engineer in small, tight tolerance piece part manufacturing environment
- Demonstrable track record of increasing productivity and reducing yield losses
- Experience with electronic interconnects (ex. sockets, connectors, screw machine parts, plastic moldings) is a plus Hard Skills
- Proficient in use of AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Inventor, MS Office suite
- Knowledge of CNC drilling/routing equipment a plus
- Knowledge of transfer plastic molding a plus
- Knowledge of data acquisition systems a plus
- Knowledge of manufacturing best practices (ex. Lean 6 sigma, statistical process and quality control, ISO 9001 standards, MRP, ERP) is a plus Soft Skills
