MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

Newport, TN Direct Hire $90,000 - $105,000 Prolink is recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer for an established manufacturer in Newport, TN. This position provides hands-on engineering support to manufacturing operations, with a focus on process improvement, production troubleshooting, tooling, new product introduction, and manufacturing documentation. The role works closely with production and maintenance and will spend significant time supporting issues directly on the plant floor.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and maintain BOMs, routings, work centers, and manufacturing documentation Support new part launches, test runs, and production debugging Troubleshoot manufacturing processes and equipment alongside production and maintenance Identify and implement improvements related to cost, quality, efficiency, safety, and ergonomics Support the development and improvement of tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing processes Review product designs for manufacturability Develop production standards and maintain engineering drawings and process documentation Support formed and fabricated metal manufacturing processes Perform root cause analysis and corrective action for manufacturing issues Provide engineering support for urgent production issues as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment Hands-on experience supporting manufacturing operations on the plant floor Experience with tooling, fixtures, or manufacturing equipment SolidWorks experience Experience with BOMs, routings, work instructions, or other manufacturing documentation Strong troubleshooting and root cause problem-solving skills Familiarity with as9100 Experience with running the QA department

AutoCAD or Creo MasterCAM CNC machining/programming Resistance welding Metal forming Heat treatment Precision machining
