Manufacturing Engineering Manager or Operations Manager Position Summary The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, improving, and supporting manufacturing processes for LiquidStack's advanced liquid cooling systems. This position collaborates with production, quality, supply chain, and design engineering teams to optimize manufacturing efficiency, improve product quality, reduce costs, and support the introduction of new products into production. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Support the transition of new products from engineering design to full-scale production. Analyze manufacturing workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity. Design and implement manufacturing fixtures, tooling, and production aids. Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Collaborate with Design Engineering to improve product manufacturability (DFM) and assembly processes. Conduct time studies and process analyses to optimize labor utilization and production capacity. Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives. Develop manufacturing documentation, including process flow diagrams, work instructions, and quality control plans. Support root cause investigations related to manufacturing defects and customer quality concerns. Monitor production performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend process improvements. Work closely with Supply Chain to ensure material availability and support inventory optimization. Assist in equipment selection, installation, validation, and maintenance planning. Ensure compliance with company quality standards, ISO requirements, and OSHA safety regulations. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Minimum of 3-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment. Experience supporting manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives. Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and process optimization. Experience interpreting engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and technical specifications. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/MRP systems. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in thermal management, cooling systems, HVAC, industrial equipment, or electromechanical manufacturing. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or similar). Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA). Experience working within an
ISO 9001
quality management system. Work Environment Manufacturing and engineering facility supporting the production of advanced liquid cooling solutions. Frequent interaction with production teams, engineering staff, quality assurance, and supply chain personnel. Exposure to manufacturing equipment, machinery, and assembly operations while following established safety protocols.
