Job Description

RCS Staffing has an immediate need for an Eddy Current Manufacturing Engineer in Snoqualmie, WA. This is a full-time, direct-hire assignment with our client. This position offers a competitive compensation package including benefits, vacation, and holidays. Overview of YOUR Role as an Eddy Current Manufacturing Engineer In this role, you will serve as the primary technical expert for Eddy Current Testing (ECT) within a precision electronic manufacturing environment. You will support EC probe production through advanced electrical engineering skills, hands-on hardware experience, and troubleshooting leadership — collaborating closely with Engineering, Quality, and Product Management teams. This position is critical to sustaining and expanding internal EC expertise, ensuring robust test processes, and supporting the development and training of EC skills across the manufacturing team. Eddy Current Manufacturing Engineer, YOU Will:
Provide day-to-day technical support and immediate issue resolution for EC probe manufacturing operations. Develop and maintain expert-level knowledge of EC instruments, probes, and software to support the manufacturing team through troubleshooting, work instruction development and updates, and guidance on the significance and impact of manufacturing problems. Review, refine, and document QC test requirements, methods, and work instructions to ensure accuracy and compliance. Deliver training to QC and manufacturing staff on EC principles, instrument use, and test procedures. Support instrument and software functionality for EC testing systems across the manufacturing environment. Collaborate with Engineering on coil design, probe revisions, prototype testing, and feasibility studies. Support evaluations of supplier and product non-conformances, including alternate material testing. Assist Product Management and Customer Service with application questions and technical inquiries related to EC probes. Perform other duties as assigned. YOU Are the
Ideal Eddy Current Manufacturing Engineer Candidate If You Have:
7 years of engineering experience in mechanical, electrical, and/or manufacturing disciplines. 5+ years of experience in the NDT industry. A strong electrical engineering foundation with hands-on mechanical or hardware experience. Proven ability to troubleshoot complex test and/or manufacturing issues in a fast-paced production environment. A Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field (mechanical, electrical, and/or manufacturing) or equivalent industry experience (preferred); high school diploma required. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to communicate technical details clearly to diverse audiences. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality in all aspects of the role. US citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD clearance (required). It's a
BONUS If You Have:
ECT Level I or Level II certification — Level III certification is a plus; willingness to pursue Level III within 5 years of employment is expected. Direct experience with EC/NDT applications in a manufacturing or sensor/coil hardware environment. Experience in manufacturing test engineering or sensor and coil hardware design and development. Familiarity with EC probe design, coil winding, and prototype development processes.
