Orchid Orthopedic Solutions seeks an Operations Tech, Finishing to support precision orthopedic implant and instrument production in our manufacturing facility. In this role, you will operate and monitor finishing equipment, perform deburring, polishing, and surface preparation, and verify parts to tight medical device specifications. You will follow detailed work instructions, GMP, and ISO requirements while documenting results and maintaining lot traceability. The role includes routine equipment checks, basic troubleshooting, 5S and continuous improvement activities, and close collaboration with quality and production teams to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant output. Responsibilities Operate and monitor finishing, deburring, and polishing equipment for orthopedic components Inspect parts using gauges, micrometers, and visual standards to meet medical device specs Follow GMP, ISO, and work instructions, maintaining accurate production and quality records Perform routine equipment checks, basic troubleshooting, and request maintenance support Handle parts, fixtures, and materials safely to prevent damage and ensure traceability Support 5 S, lean, and continuous improvement initiatives in the finishing area Collaborate with quality, engineering, and production teams to resolve nonconformances Package and stage finished parts for next operations or shipment per documented procedures Required Skills Deburring and polishing of metal components Operation of finishing equipment (tumbling, blasting, vibratory, etc.) Use of precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) Basic understanding of GMP and ISO quality systems Reading and following work instructions and shop travelers Basic blueprint and specification reading Data entry and production/quality documentation Equipment setup, adjustment, and basic troubleshooting5 S and basic lean manufacturing practices Safe material handling and PPE use
