GED Full Job Description Description:
The Clean Technician will clean APU parts per company standards by the use of glass bead/plastic media machines, steam cleaner, cleaning and acid tanks.
Essential Functions:
Clean all parts using proper methods and equipment. Operate glass bead, aluminum oxide and plastic media machines, steamer, Oakite tank Chemically treats aluminum and magnesium Operates potassium tank & oil cooler flush system Properly protects all material by masking or other approved methods Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment. Re-orders supplies as needed. Understands and can apply all technical data. Completes all required paperwork and documentation. Follows all company policies including safety requirements and instructions. Maintain a neat and orderly workstation and promote overall good housekeeping practices 5S. Maintain chemical usage log and waste solvent drum. Wearing safety gear, including a respirator Provide training and assistance to new associates. With general supervision tear down, inspect and clean APU accessories and other similar equipment Clean parts and assemblies as required Prepare documentation, including findings and test data Light painting and touch up of assemblies as required Read, interpret and execute work instructions Maintains FAA required records, manuals and inspection forms. Follow all company policies including safety instructions Maintain a neat and orderly workstation and promote overall good housekeeping practices Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or
GED Preferred Education and Experience:
Manufacturing/aerospace experience a plus Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Competency Microsoft office; Word, Excel, Power Point Technical Capacity Problem Solving/Analysis.
