Job Summary Ignova Mechanical is seeking a hands-on, versatile Manufacturing Technician to support our aerospace and industrial manufacturing operations. This is a cross-trained shop-floor position responsible for operating CNC machines, die-cutting and laser-cutting gasket materials, performing light assembly, inspecting parts, and supporting other production activities as needed. The ideal candidate enjoys working with different manufacturing processes and can be flexed across the shop based on production demand. Key Responsibilities Operate CNC milling and turning machines that have been set up and programmed by qualified machinists. Load and unload parts, start production cycles, monitor machine operation, and identify basic process or tooling issues. Perform routine in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment. Operate die-cutting and laser-cutting equipment to manufacture gaskets, seals, and other nonmetallic components. Load materials, retrieve established programs, adjust basic machine parameters, and monitor cutting operations. Perform manufacturing and mechanical assembly operations using drawings, work instructions, and established processes. Read and follow engineering drawings, routers, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation. Perform first-piece and in-process dimensional checks and accurately document inspection results. Complete production travelers, material traceability documentation, and other required manufacturing records. Count, identify, package, and prepare completed parts for downstream operations. Perform basic machine cleaning and preventative maintenance. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area. Cross-train across CNC machining, gasket manufacturing, assembly, inspection, and other production processes. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, and reduction of scrap and cycle time. Qualifications and Skills 2+ years of hands-on manufacturing experience operating CNC machines, die-cutting equipment, laser cutters, CNC routers, automated production equipment, or similar machinery. Experience operating CNC mills or lathes. Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and work instructions. Ability to use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other basic precision measurement tools. Experience working with rubber, foam, adhesives, gasket materials, plastics, sheet materials, or other converted materials is a plus. Mechanical assembly experience is a plus. Experience working in aerospace, defense, AS9100, ISO 9001, or another regulated manufacturing environment is a plus. Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn multiple manufacturing processes. Ability to work independently after training and follow established processes. Strong attention to quality and detail. Basic computer skills. High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to approximately 50 lbs.
