Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Production Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for supporting production processes, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Responsibilities The responsibilities of the Production Technician include, but are not limited to, the following areas: I.
Production Assembly:
Assemble mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and other components used in the analyzer production line and associated equipment, including chassis, wire harnesses, gauges, regulators, fittings, filters, and detectors.
Oven Fabrication:
Fabricate oven compartments, including cutting and installing insulation material, drilling/cutting ovens per instructions, and installing them into the chassis.
Wiring & Schematics:
Wire analyzer components according to drawings, schematics, and instructions.
Soldering:
Solder through-hole electronic components onto PC boards. II.
Service and Repair Intake & Logging:
Unpack incoming equipment, ensuring items are tagged with the customer name, date, and serial number (S/N).
Inspection:
Inspect and check equipment for any shipping damage.
Cleaning & Disassembly:
Disassemble and clean analyzer parts and components under the direction of the lab supervisor.
Reassembly:
Assemble repaired and replacement parts and components under the direction of the lab supervisor. III.
Shipping and Receiving Packaging:
Prepare and securely seal shipping boxes per instructions; cut shipping foam using sketches and guidelines.
Documentation & Software:
Prepare shipping documents using software, including recording measurements and the weight of each shipping box, crate, or pallet.
Receiving Logs:
Maintain the receiving log for all incoming shipments, recording customer/supplier names, model numbers, P.O. numbers, and other required details.
Verification:
Open all boxes and verify contents against the packing list.
Inventory Placement:
Under lab supervisor guidance and following labels/instructions, organize parts and components onto appropriate shelves, cabinets, or containers. IV.
Technical Documentation and Data Entry Data Entry:
Input calibration data and analyzer settings into customer electronic files.
Digital Media:
Transfer manuals and flow diagrams onto USB drives per instructions.
Drafting:
Create sketches and simple diagrams using available software based on provided instructions. V.
Facility Maintenance Cleanliness:
Maintain a clean lab, production, and warehouse area by performing weekly cleaning of all working areas. Skills Experience with factory operations or manufacturing facilities, demonstrating familiarity with production environments is desired. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and use measuring instruments effectively Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and manual handling techniques for assembly and maintenance tasks Experience with safety protocol adherence in a manufacturing setting Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, process improvement strategies, and safety standards in production environments Ability to interpret complex production documents and technical instructions accurately Excellent teamwork skills with experience managing or supporting production or assembly teams in a fast-paced setting
Pay:
From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
