Apparel Production Tech Factory Design Group - 3.0 Sacramento, CA Job Details Full-time $18 - $23 an hour 9 hours ago Benefits 401(k) Paid time off Employee discount Flexible schedule Qualifications Embroidery Packing Order shipping Manual packaging Attention to detail Full Job Description Position Overview The Apparel Decoration Production Technician will work with a variety of apparel and branded-goods decoration equipment, including Ricoma commercial embroidery machines, thermal heat presses, hat presses, and other production equipment . The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of related work experience, comfortable working with production equipment, has strong attention to detail, and takes pride in producing consistent, professional-quality work. Key Responsibilities Operate and maintain Ricoma commercial embroidery equipment Set up embroidery jobs, including garments, hoops, thread colors, needles, backing, and stabilizers Load and run embroidery files while monitoring production quality Operate thermal heat presses for apparel decoration and transfers Operate hat presses for caps and other headwear Apply heat transfers, patches, emblems, names, numbers, logos, and other branded graphics Decorate shirts, jackets, hats, bags, uniforms, workwear, and other branded goods Perform equipment setup, adjustments, routine cleaning, and basic troubleshooting Inspect finished products for embroidery, placement, color, alignment, and overall quality Follow job tickets, production specifications, artwork, and customer requirements Track quantities and ensure completed jobs match production orders Maintain an organized and clean production area Assist with trimming, folding, packaging, labeling, and preparing completed orders for shipment Work with the production and design teams to resolve artwork or production issues Help identify opportunities to improve production speed, quality, and efficiency Cross-train on additional decoration and branded-product equipment as needed Qualifications Preferred experience includes: Commercial embroidery equipment, preferably Ricoma Multi-head embroidery machines Heat transfer and thermal press equipment Hat and cap decoration DTF or similar apparel transfer processes Embroidery file setup and basic troubleshooting Apparel or promotional-product production Previous apparel decoration experience of 2-3 years is required for this position. Physical Requirements This position requires regularly standing and working around production equipment. The employee must be able to handle boxes and garments, perform repetitive production tasks, and safely lift and move materials commonly used in an apparel production environment.
