About Factory Design Group Factory Design Group LLC is a Sacramento-based manufacturer and creative production company specializing in signage, wide-format printing, branded environments, retail displays, apparel, packaging, promotional products, and marketing solutions. We are looking for an experienced Signage & Wide Format Production Technician to join our growing production team. This is a hands-on position for someone who understands the complete signage production process—from printing and finishing through fabrication and final installation preparation. Position Overview The Signage & Wide Format Production Technician will be responsible for producing high-quality interior and exterior signage using a variety of wide-format printing, cutting, laminating, mounting, and finishing equipment. Previous professional wide-format and signage production experience is required. Candidates should have experience with flatbed printers, roll-to-roll printers, vinyl production, and interior signage fabrication. Candidates with professional sign installation experience may qualify for additional compensation. Key Responsibilities Operate flatbed wide-format printers Operate roll-to-roll wide-format printers Produce vinyl graphics, decals, banners, wall graphics, window graphics, and other printed products Prepare and apply cut and printed vinyl Operate laminators, vinyl cutters, plotters, and other signage production equipment Mount graphics to PVC, acrylic, aluminum composite, coroplast, foam board, UltraBoard, and other rigid substrates Fabricate interior signage and branded environmental graphics Produce dimensional lettering, wall signs, directional signage, retail graphics, and display components Trim, cut, weed, mask, laminate, mount, and finish printed graphics Read and follow production drawings, job tickets, dimensions, and installation specifications Perform accurate measurements and maintain proper graphic placement and alignment Inspect finished products for color, print quality, registration, dimensions, and overall workmanship Package and prepare completed signage for delivery or installation Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of production equipment Troubleshoot common printing, vinyl, finishing, and production issues Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production environment Work closely with our design, prepress, project management, and installation teams Required Experience Qualified candidates should have professional experience with: Flatbed wide-format printing Roll-to-roll wide-format printing Vinyl cutting and application Laminating and mounting Rigid signage fabrication Interior signage production Wide-format finishing techniques Working with common signage substrates and materials Reading measurements and production specifications This is not an entry-level position . Candidates should have previous hands-on experience working in a professional sign shop, wide-format printing operation, graphics company, or similar production environment. Installation Experience — Additional Compensation Candidates with professional signage installation experience are strongly encouraged to apply and may qualify for additional compensation based on their experience and capabilities.

Candidates performing installation work must also be comfortable working with ladders, tools, and installation equipment as required.
