Lanteris Space is seeking a Advanced Harness Technician to join our team working in our offices in San Jose CA. The ideal candidate will have expertise in electrical wiring and have good hand and eye coordinated to build, repair and test wire harness for spacecraft.
Job Responsibilities:
Read and understand manufacturing assembly processes and mechanical drawings. Maintain current Lanteris technical certifications for flight harness and cable assemblies Maintain all required Lanteris certifications for ESD, Contamination Control and Hazardous Waste management. Read wire lists and wiring schematic diagram. Use wire stripping & crimping tools, heat guns, exacto knives, torque tools & soldering irons. Track engineering changes and perform rework to incorporate harness ECR's as required. Perform harness rework in test and supporting harness work in some other areas. Fabricate fixtures for flight harnesses. Support flight harness testing and maintaining test adapters.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be a US citizen or US person High school diploma or equivalent 4 years of related electrical, mechanical or electronic assembly experience, including wire harness fabrication for satellite spacecraft. Must be willing to work all shifts, overtime, and weekend as needed.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Ability to inspect own work using microscope up to 10x magnification. Work with pre-released engineering and BOMs to developed non-flight hardware in and R D capacity. Skill in operating automate wire cutting and labeling machine and various hand to power crimp tools. Proficient with computers and the ability to use MS office. The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range. The base pay for this position within California is: $27.60 - $46.00 hourly. For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
