Position Overview:
BEPC is seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Equipment Technician to support manufacturing and assembly operations in Temecula, CA. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving manufacturing equipment and assembly lines within a regulated quality-system environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment upgrades, and technical documentation. This role will work closely with manufacturing, industrial, quality, and equipment development engineers to maximize equipment reliability, uptime, and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to assembly-line equipment repair calls and diagnose equipment failures and operational problems. Perform necessary repairs to restore manufacturing equipment to proper operating condition. Perform and document preventative maintenance (PM) activities on manufacturing equipment. Document equipment qualifications, repairs, upgrades, preventative maintenance, and parts usage in the MP2 maintenance database . Maintain backup equipment and ensure required spare parts are available to support manufacturing operations. Assist industrial, manufacturing, and quality engineers with equipment operation and technical issues. Work with equipment development engineers to identify recurring equipment problems and recommend improvements to increase equipment uptime. Assist with the construction and setup of worktables, utilities, equipment, and manufacturing assembly lines. Modify existing assembly lines and workstations to accommodate changing manufacturing requirements. Troubleshoot complex equipment and process problems and recommend practical technical solutions. Assist in the design, development, evaluation, and modification of manufacturing equipment, systems, materials, and related processes. Develop or support preventative maintenance plans and equipment testing activities. Mentor and provide technical guidance to less-experienced technicians. Plan and organize non-routine technical assignments with appropriate approval. Establish priorities and maintain work schedules based on manufacturing needs. Use technical data, numerical information, statistical data, and computer software to document findings and resolve complex problems. Identify and recommend continuous quality and equipment improvement opportunities. Maintain appropriate documentation and perform all work in accordance with applicable quality-system and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Associate Degree in a technical field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. Minimum 4 years of related experience in manufacturing equipment maintenance, equipment repair, engineering support, or a similar technical environment. Strong experience diagnosing and repairing manufacturing or automated assembly equipment. Experience performing preventative maintenance and equipment troubleshooting . Ability to read, interpret, and work from technical procedures, equipment documentation, and engineering information. Experience documenting maintenance activities in a CMMS/maintenance database; MP2 experience is highly desirable . Strong mechanical and technical aptitude. Ability to independently handle complex technical assignments with limited established procedures. Strong judgment, initiative, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work effectively with manufacturing, quality, industrial, and engineering teams. Ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members. Knowledge of manufacturing quality systems and regulated environments preferred. Applicable technical license or certification may be required depending on area of expertise.
USOPS Pay:
$33.00 - $35.97 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
