This position plays a critical role in ensuring production jobs are properly staged, machine downtime is minimized, and material inventory remains organized throughout the manufacturing process. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in electronics manufacturing. Employees who demonstrate strong performance, reliability, and a desire to learn may have opportunities to advance into SMT Machine Operator positions as additional production lines are added and new opportunities become available. Essential Responsibilities Prepare (kit) SMT feeders for scheduled production jobs. Load electronic component reels onto SMT feeders according to setup documentation. Remove components and de-kit feeders after production is complete. Print and review feeder setup reports and production documentation. Verify correct components, feeder locations, and quantities before releasing jobs to production. Return unused components to inventory following established procedures. Maintain accurate organization of feeders and electronic components. Ensure completed jobs are cleared from SMT production equipment so machines remain organized and ready for upcoming work. Assist SMT machine operators by preparing feeder carts and supporting efficient production changeovers. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient feeder preparation area. Work closely with production, engineering, inventory, and quality personnel to support production schedules. Follow all ESD, quality, and safety procedures. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Manufacturing or electronics assembly experience is helpful but not required. SMT experience is a plus; training will be provided for motivated candidates. Basic computer skills. Ability to read and follow work instructions and production documentation. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Preferred Experience Electronics manufacturing or PCB assembly experience. SMT production experience. Material handling or production support in a manufacturing environment. Experience with Fuji SMT placement equipment is a plus but is not required. Skills Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail. Dependable work habits and a positive attitude. Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
