The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the corrosion resistance and longevity of critical components through the precise execution of the passivation process. This position requires a strong commitment to quality standards, safety protocols and regulatory compliance, as the integrity of parts handled directly impacts the overall performance and safety of vehicle, medical, commercial and aerospace equipment. The Passivation Operator will work closely with engineering and quality assurance teams to maintain optimal surface treatment conditions and uphold the highest levels of workmanship. This role demands a person who is adept at monitoring process parameters and adhering rigorously to documented procedures. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to maintaining our organization's reputation for excellence, reliability and innovation in the aerospace sector by ensuring all treated materials meet or exceed industry specifications. Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor passivation equipment to treat metal components according to specified protocols.
  • Conduct inspections of treated components to verify compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of processing parameters, batch numbers and inspection results.
  • Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and environmental regulations related to chemical handling and waste disposal.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance and engineering personnel to address process improvements and resolve production issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of passivation equipment to ensure optimal operational conditions.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or process deviations promptly to supervisory staff. Requirements
  • Training available for candidates that display other requirements.
  • Ability to handle chemicals safely and knowledge of proper safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to aerospace component treatment preferred.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality workmanship.
  • Good record-keeping and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and communicate effectively.
  • Physical capability to perform manual tasks associated with equipment operation and maintenance.
Pay:
$17.00 - $22.00 per hour
