- Review work orders / product documentation
- Load and unload spools with raw material and finished product
- Set up machines: load pay off reels and spools, remove empty spools, guide wire through machine, change dies and gears
- Operate and monitor semi-automatic and rigid machines and take-up and pay-off machines.
- Repair / weld breaks, capstan, and other operational issues
- Make samples for QC
- Gauge / inspect product
- Load and operate chopper
- Operate fork trucks and reel mover
- Monitor and maintain supply of raw material
- Generate labels, apply to product and document
- Cut off, secure, wrap and remove finished product from line to storage
- Trouble shoot line problems and repair or request assistance as indicated
- Communicate with supervisors, work as part of team
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS
- Read / use precision gauges and tools
- Perform shop math
- Read/follow written instructions
- Use computer for simple tasks
SKILLS AND ABILITIES QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Maintain orderly and clean work area
- Verify calibration of measuring devices
- Train employees
- Participate in maintaining ISO certification
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement
