4/10-1st Shift - Mon-Thurs 5:00 AM EST-3:30 PM EST Position Summary PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Equipment Technician to join our manufacturing operations team in Clearwater, Florida. This role is responsible for monitoring, evaluating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving the performance of manufacturing equipment used in the Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) production process. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with electronics manufacturing equipment and possess strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Working closely with Production leadership and Product, Process, Quality, and Test Engineering teams, you will play a critical role in ensuring optimal equipment performance, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor, evaluate, and improve the performance of manufacturing equipment and machinery.
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and replace defective components and modules.
  • Interpret and utilize schematics, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, manuals, and work instructions.
  • Support production operations through immediate repair response and equipment recovery.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance, repair, and inventory records.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic/test equipment safely and effectively.
  • Collaborate with Production, Process Engineering, Quality, Product Engineering, and Test Engineering teams to resolve equipment-related issues.
  • Recommend and implement process and equipment improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
  • Assist in estimating labor requirements and equipment-related costs as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and operational procedures.
