We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Technician to set up and operate automatic horizontal band saws and manual saw equipment while supporting material flow in a precision manufacturing environment. This role includes preparing raw material for production, performing in-process measurements and visual inspections, and assisting with inventory and material handling as needed. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating forklifts and supporting material movement throughout the facility. What You'll Do Set up and operate automatic horizontal band saws and manual saw equipment to cut material to job specifications Read job orders and blueprints to confirm material type, size, and required dimensions Perform in-process measurements and visual inspections using tape measures, calipers, and micrometers Load, unload, label, store, and stage raw material and production components Monitor material and inventory levels to support production workflow Complete inventory and job-order transactions in the ERP system Provide general facility support as needed, including maintaining common areas, removing trash, and restocking shop and breakroom supplies Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area What We're Looking For Previous experience operating automatic horizontal band saws, NC band saws, manual band saws, or similar metal-cutting equipment strongly preferred. Surface grinding experience strongly preferred Ability to read blueprints and follow job specifications Basic shop math skills, including decimals and fractions Experience using tape measures, calipers, and micrometers Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Forklift experience required Ability to work independently and as part of a team
