The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for organizing and performing a full range of manufacturing support functions that are complex in nature and require a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes, product development, tooling, build documentation, and production procedures. The position works closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Engineering, and Production to support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. In conjunction with mechanical ability, the Manufacturing Technician will review, analyze, verify, edit, and update build documents and manufacturing data to effectively and efficiently support the production and launch of new Arnott products. The position will assist with installing and implementing newly developed tooling, work directly with the manufacturing team to identify process improvements and document changes through redlines, and perform time studies on production builds to establish and verify standard work times and identify process inefficiencies. The Manufacturing Technician will also assist with production trials, tooling implementation, documentation updates, process improvements, and other manufacturing projects as needed. Essential Functions 1. The Engineering Technician is responsible for a variety of product development and administrative functions including but not limited to: Review, analyze, verify, edit, and update build documents and manufacturing data. Install and implement newly developed tooling and equipment within the manufacturing environment. Work directly with the manufacturing team to identify process improvements and document changes through redlines. Perform time studies on production builds to establish and verify standard work times. Support new product launches, production trials, and implementation of new manufacturing processes. Identify manufacturing process issues and assist in developing and implementing effective solutions. Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Engineering, and Production to support manufacturing improvements. Provide hands-on mechanical support for product development, tooling, and manufacturing activities. Assist with continuous improvement projects and other manufacturing engineering activities as needed. 2. The position is responsible for preparing a variety of reports and documents that are specialized, technical, and confidential nature.

Production Build Documentation / Work Instructions 3. The technician reviews and redlines items such as product drawings, build documents, and installation manuals for accuracy based upon first hand and reported feedback from product testing and production trials. 4. The position responds to production inquiries that require a thorough understanding of product use, specifications, build process, historic problems or other related information. 5. Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint software. 6. Performs other related duties as assigned. Environment and Physical Activity The environment for this position is an open office that is clean and comfortable. The incumbent is in a non-confined office-type setting in which he/she is free to move about at will. In the course of performing this position the incumbent spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, lifting (up to 50 pounds), carrying, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, pulling, walking, standing, squatting, kneeling and reaching. This position may be required to operate any or all of the following: telephone, cellular telephone, general office equipment including copy and fax machines, calculator, computer and related printers. He/she must be able to sit for prolonged periods. High School diploma and a minimum of two (2) years of similar experience in a manufacturing environment is required; all applicants must possess minimum of 2 years exposure to automotive mechanical diagnosis with familiarity of suspension systems; internal applicants must possess: two (2) years of Arnott experience & have performed the role of Engineering Technician Apprentice or similar Arnott positions Comprehensive knowledge of Arnott product including ability to crimp, collapse and assemble. Solid experience with drawings and production processes is required. Exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, and write reports and technical correspondence.
