Position Overview Formation Operator assures correct acid level and conduct a visual inspection for cosmetic defects. Areas of Focus Formation Operator complies with all safety requirements and proper use of PPE. Additionally, Formation Operator understands & practices the Quality policy day to day. Responsibilities Level I
- Place caps onto batteries according to battery type
- Perform the proper function of stacking on / off from conveyors
- Identify all defects prior to filling with acid (1st fill)
- Analyze the correct direction of the batteries during off bearing. (Understand correct polarity of batteries)
- Identify the correct cable (jumpers) to be placed on specific types of batteries
- Demonstrate proper use of table lift during off bearing
- Ensure correct marking on the battery rack to aid Circuit Tender
- Display correct use of PPE
- Perform general housekeeping
- Meets all quality requirements and standards
- Meets all production requirements Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6 months - 1-year machine operator experience
- Stand-up Lift / Forklift Certification
- Basic computer skills
- Read and understand basic English
- Perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
