Manufacturing Technician PMX Industries Inc. - 4.1 Cedar Rapids, IA Job Details 2 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Disability insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications ASTM standards Computer operation Desktop applications Full Job Description Manufacturing Technician Work Fewer Days! 3 days one week / 4 days the next (12-hr shifts) with every other weekend off.
Purpose:
The Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for providing technical support for the production departments.
Primary Duties:
Complete mechanical and dimensional testing of metal samples following work instructions and ASTM specifications. Utilize router, shear, and other small power tools to shape samples to required dimensions. Prepare and analyze solid metal samples for chemical composition. Enter data accurately and completely to record test results and communicate those results to required parties. Maintain associated databases as needed. Perform preventative maintenance and calibration to keep test equipment in good working order. Maintain retention sample inventory for required intervals. Support Quality and R D departments with special testing protocols. Any other duties as assigned.
Education/Skills Requirements:
Associate Degree in Science-related field, and/or 3 years of laboratory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Manufacturing or metals experience preferred. General understanding of PCs and related software experience. Sound communication, organizational and analytical skills with the ability to plan work. Proper use of testing equipment. Familiarity with ASTM methods.
