Many of the components used in our products are manufactured and assembled in-house, making our metal shop an important part of our production operation. Currently, we have an opening in our Metal Shop and we're seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined Machine Operator who is comfortable working with a variety of metalworking equipment. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in quality work, and is willing to assist throughout our manufacturing operation when needed. Primary Responsibilities:

Operate metalworking equipment including punch presses, turret punch presses, milling machines, metal lathes, shears, drill presses, and other shop machinery Set up machinery and change dies, tooling, and machine configurations as required for production Produce metal components according to work instructions, drawings, samples, and specifications Use basic measuring tools to verify finished parts and maintain consistent quality Safely operate a fork truck to move raw materials, finished goods, pallets, and other materials Organize, stage, and maintain metal stock and warehouse materials Perform light bench assembly and other production work when machine work is not required Assist other departments with general shop and production tasks, including material handling, assembly, packaging, pallet preparation, and time-sensitive projects Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and follow established machine safety procedures

Required Skills/Traits/Education:

Previous experience operating metalworking or industrial production machinery is preferred Experience with punch presses, turret punches, mills, lathes, shears, drill presses, dies, tooling, or similar equipment is highly desirable Mechanically inclined with the ability and willingness to learn different machines and processes Ability to use basic measuring tools and follow production specifications Fork truck experience preferred; training can be provided if necessary Dependable attendance, strong work ethic, and ability to work independently once trained Strong attention to safety, quality, and organization Team-oriented attitude and willingness to assist outside the metal shop when production needs require it On-the-job training will be provided.
