About Us At LLI Architectural Lighting, we help architects, designers and contractors bring ambitious spaces to life. Our custom architectural LED solutions are specified in some of the country's most innovative commercial projects, and we're growing. We're large enough to work on nationally recognized projects but small enough that every person here has real impact. We're looking for an experienced Production Technician who takes pride in building things right. You'll work alongside our Production Manager assembling and testing the custom low-voltage LED systems that make it into those projects. If you're detail-oriented, handy with tools and energized by seeing a product come together from parts to finished fixture, we'd like to meet you. What You'll Do You'll take on a mix of hands-on assembly and hands-on problem solving, including:
- Assemble custom LED lighting systems accurately and efficiently, without cutting corners on quality
- Review incoming components for compatibility and catch issues before they become problems
- Test new systems and repairs to confirm everything works the way it should
- Keep your Production Manager in the loop on timelines and any bumps along the way
- Follow safety standards and regulations, every time, no exceptions
- Confirm each unit matches the bill of materials and spec before it ships
- Flag material or component defects before they hold up a build
- Keep pace with production schedules without cutting corners on quality
- Help keep the warehouse and your workstation clean, organized and running smoothly What Makes You Successful You're detail-oriented, dependable and take real pride in quality work.
You likely have:
- 1+ years of experience as an electrical technician, production technician or similar role
- Solid knowledge of electrical systems, especially low-voltage circuits and LEDs
- Comfort and accuracy with low-wattage soldering equipment
- Experience with LED strip and aluminum channel assembly, including cutting tape at appropriate cut points, soldering connections, and maintaining correct polarity
- The ability to assemble and repair custom LED lighting systems
- Confidence with hand tools and power tools
- The ability to read wiring diagrams, blueprints and layouts
- Good communication skills and a real team-player mindset
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, etc.) Why LLI Architectural Lighting? We're a fun-loving, collaborative group that takes the work seriously but doesn't take itself too seriously. Here's what you can expect:
- Hands-on work building custom, interesting products, not commodity parts off a line
- Direct access to leadership, no bureaucracy
- Real opportunities to grow as we expand; we give people responsibility early and promote from within
- A team that values safety, quality and doing great work together Ready to join us?
If you want to build products that matter, with a team that notices and appreciates good work, we'd love to hear from you.
