1st Shift / Monday - Friday / 7am - 3:30pm Hours per week: 40 Primary purpose of job: Production Technicians are responsible for assembling and testing manufactured goods before they are implemented for internal use or external use. They ensure products are working exactly as intended and are free of defects or other issues.

Essential functions of job:

• Understand all production policies, procedures, and guidelines while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
• Assists the manager with identifying improvement opportunities within the production processes.
• Build and test assemblies.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly and component drawings.
• Inspect and test finished products.

Required skills and abilities:

• Good motor skills and the ability to do fine assembly.
• Ability to check for defects and identify and distinguish between colors.
• Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and management internally.
• Performance of internal procedures regarding production.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly and component drawings.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks and obtain results working within strict time frames.
• Capable of working independently to a production schedule.

Education and Experience:

• GED
• Associate's degree or vocational-technical school certificate, apprenticeship training and at least 1- or 2-years prior work experience preferred.

Physical Demands:

• This position requires 10% clerical and 90% production.
• Safety glasses, hearing protection, and proper foot protection must be worn.
• Ability to lift weights up to 45 lbs.
