Job Description

Machine Setup Technician | 1st
Shift Schedule:
1st Shift | Monday-Friday| 6:00 AM-2:30
PM Pay:
$24/hr Put your mechanical skills and problem-solving experience to work! We're looking for an experienced Machine Setup Technician to join a busy manufacturing team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with machinery, setting up equipment, reading blueprints, troubleshooting problems, and making sure production is ready to run successfully. If you're mechanically inclined, comfortable working independently, and like being the person others count on to get equipment set up right the first time , we want to hear from you! What You'll Be Doing Set up and calibrate production equipment , including installing, aligning, and securing tools and fixtures according to blueprints and work orders. Select and deliver the correct components and materials needed for production. Run first-piece inspections to verify setups and ensure parts meet quality specifications. Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and setup-related issues. Perform routine preventative maintenance to help keep equipment running smoothly. Use inspection tools and measuring devices to verify product quality. Read and interpret blueprints, routers, bills of materials (BOMs), work orders, and technical manuals . Operate a Hi-Lo/forklift to move components and materials to production areas. Monitor equipment performance and identify when adjustments or repairs are needed. Work with operators, team members, and mechanical engineers to resolve production or equipment issues. Ensure machine guards are properly in place and follow all required safety procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. What We're Looking For 3-5 years of manufacturing experience , including assembly and machine/equipment setup experience. Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills. Experience working with tools, fixtures, production equipment, and measuring devices . Ability to match machine settings and setups to part specifications and prints. Comfortable using computers and manufacturing-related software. Ability to read and understand blueprints and other technical documentation. Experience operating a Hi-Lo/forklift . Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently. Willingness to collaborate and communicate with machine operators, engineers, and other team members. Positive, respectful, and team-oriented attitude. High school diploma or GED required. Technical or skilled-trades training is a plus. Why You'll Want This Job This isn't just another production position.
