Job Description

We're currently seeking a highly motivated, repetition-loving individual for the full-time Insect Production Technician position in our Insect Department (Owosso) . As an Insect Department team member, you'll assist with packaging springtails and isopods for our customers' bioactive animal enclosures, feeding and maintaining springtails and isopods, and general workspace maintenance such as cleaning and organizing. Your primary responsibilities will include order fulfillment and feeding/production-based tasks. The ideal candidate for this position is someone who respects critters (even the smallest ones), enjoys doing the same core tasks for hours each day, and isn't deterred by getting dirty. Full-time (40 hours per week), Monday through Friday (8:30 AM to 5 PM) $16.00/hour starting wages This position requires the use of a respirator, as well as completion of respirator fit testing and respirator safety training in accordance with OSHA standards

Order fulfillment (pulling, counting, and packaging) of springtails and isopods Creating fruit fly cultures Maintenance of springtail cultures and isopod colonies General department upkeep (sweeping, mopping, dishes, etc.) Supportive departmental tasks Meetings, training, and teambuildingFor This Position, You MUST Possess:
