This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on problem solver who enjoys working with technology, troubleshooting complex equipment, and delivering exceptional customer service. Previous field service or technical experience is required, but specific production equipment experience is not required. Training will be provided for the right candidate. This is a Monday to Friday 8 AM - 5 PM role. As a Production Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing high-speed production equipment while building strong relationships with our customers. You will serve as a key representative of Applied Innovation in the field and play an important role in ensuring our customers' equipment operates efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Repair, maintain, troubleshoot, and service high-speed production equipment and related accessories. Manage an assigned territory and provide a high level of service, responsiveness, and professionalism to customers. Diagnose equipment issues and identify effective solutions in a timely manner. Collaborate with fellow technicians and internal teams to ensure customer service needs are met. Maintain accurate inventory of parts, supplies, and tools. Complete service documentation and maintain accurate records of work performed. Communicate effectively with customers regarding equipment issues, repairs, and recommended solutions. Represent Applied Innovation professionally in every customer interaction, you are the face of our company in the field. Operate a company vehicle safely, responsibly, and courteously. Understanding and alignment with the organization's core values. Other duties as assigned. To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each job duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills. Strong planning and prioritization abilities. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team. Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor. Ability to safely move, and handle equipment and parts as required.
Education/License/Experience Requirements:
Valid driver's license and a good driving record including no DUI's in the past 5 years. High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or training is a plus. Canon and/or Ricoh factory certifications are preferred but not required. Basic knowledge of print drivers and network communication is helpful.
