Temp To Full-Time Our client in Taylor, MI is searching for a Weld Nut Operator for their facility. This position will train on 1st shift (7a-3pm) $16 per hour, before moving to a 3rd shift position (11p-7a), Monday-Friday with possible overtime, $16.45 per hour, and is contract to hire. The purpose of this job is to set up and operate resistance welding machines:
Essential Functions of Job:
The essential functions of the job include: Operating machinery and equipment as directed; processing parts (weld, clean, package and transport) Cleaning and other general shop tasks Performing other incidental and related duties as required and assigned. Skills required to carry out the essential functions include the ability to: Learn and master new skills; understand and follow directions and rules Safely and effectively operate various machinery and equipment Produce (quality and quantity) parts that meet specifications and expected output levels Visually identify and correct deficiencies in parts produced Interact appropriately and collaborate with fellow employees and management Communicate effectively (written and oral) with other employees and management; demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service Work efficiently in a fast paced manufacturing environment with the flexibility to prioritize duties and multi-task at different levels Equipment operated as part of the essential functions: (includes but is not limited to) Resistance welders, hand grinding tools, forklift truck, telephone and computer and related technology. #MI1 Qualifications HSD/GED Resistance welding machines
