About the Role As a Metal Forming Technician, you will play a critical role in our manufacturing operations by managing high-capacity forging equipment to produce high-quality steel components. You will leverage your mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting expertise to ensure production efficiency, equipment reliability, and strict adherence to quality standards. Responsibilities Operate and monitor heavy-duty forging machinery, performing routine system checks to ensure optimal output and product integrity. Execute precise start-up and shutdown sequences for forge control panels, conveyors, and related electrical systems. Perform proactive mechanical troubleshooting on critical components, including transfer lifts, stock gauges, and bar conveyors to minimize downtime. Conduct complex tooling conversions, including die alignment, rounder die adjustments, and timing calibrations to meet specific production requirements. Maintain accurate production logs and safety documentation to ensure full compliance with operational protocols. Collaborate with the production team to optimize process flow and resolve technical bottlenecks in real-time. Qualifications Required Skills Proven mechanical knowledge and a strong aptitude for hands-on technical work. Demonstrated experience in industrial troubleshooting and equipment maintenance. Proficiency in torching or welding techniques for tooling and equipment repair. Ability to interpret technical specifications and perform precise machine adjustments.
