Job Description

Long Island food manufacturer seeking Production Workers/Operators to join our growing team in Hauppauge. Gourmet Factory is a family-owned company with deep Mediterranean roots, passionate about olive oil, olives, and Mediterranean cuisine. We proudly serve retailers, foodservice, and manufacturers with high-quality products and exceptional service.
Responsibilities :
Operate and assemble products according to supervisor instructions. Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety, and quality guidelines. Responsible for completing Packaging Filling Records. Visually inspect labels for defects and run samples. Record all machine actions by completing production logs. Meet or exceed daily production goals as part of a team. Load/unload materials from machines, conveyors, and pallets. Inspect products to ensure they meet quality standards. Monitor machinery and report any issues right away. Keep your workstation clean, organized, and safe. Always wear all required PPE. Rotate to different positions along the production line as needed. Help maintain a safe and food-compliant work environment. Perform other general production duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Must be able to speak, and understand ENGLISH (to follow safety and production instructions) High school diploma or GED required. Mandatory overtime as needed (including Saturdays). Prior manufacturing or food production experience is a plus. Able to stand, bend, and move for at least 8 hour shifts. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. Dependable, punctual, and committed to great attendance. Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks. Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment. Must be able to commute reliably.
