Job Description

Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Beverage Supervisor and in coordination with the Canning Line Lead, this position is responsible for completing compliance checks throughout the day on the canning line and double-checking measurements for ingredient batching. This person serves as the resident Subject Matter Expert (SME) on can line compliance and ensures the entire team understands and correctly performs compliance checks. This position will also learn batching and canning line operator duties in order to fill in as needed.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Include but are not limited to Perform scheduled compliance checks throughout the day on the canning line, ensuring adherence to the CGMP, SQF and organic certification policies of GenV Labs. Double-check and verify measurements for ingredient batching to ensure accuracy and consistency. Serve as the resident Subject Matter Expert (SME) on can line compliance requirements and procedures. Train and support team members to ensure the entire team understands and correctly performs compliance checks. Conduct Quality Control inspections on all packaging, escalating errors to Team Leads. Properly complete and maintain all compliance logs, batching records, and canning checklists. Identify compliance issues, discrepancies, or errors quickly and escalate to Team Lead to keep production on schedule. Learn and cross-train in batching and canning line operator responsibilities to provide coverage as needed. Support the team in can line changeovers as needed, including adjusting equipment and installing changeover parts. Follow and observe all safety rules and regulations. Work well with coworkers on the canning line, in batching, and in other departments. Follow all GVL policies and procedures. Flexibility in work scheduling. Variable schedule may include staying late and/or working weekends as needed to achieve production goals. Minimum Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities High School diploma preferred. Manufacturing knowledge and/or experience preferred. Two (2) years bottling/canning line experience preferred. One (1) year experience working in line manufacturing preferred. Prior quality assurance, quality control, or compliance experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with measurements and documentation. Equivalent combinations of education and work experience will be considered. Strong work ethic & reliability Strong oral communication skills to train and support co-workers in a professional and helpful manner. Ability to work productively in a fast paced, goal oriented environment.
Equipment/Machinery:
This position requires the regular use of manufacturing equipment as well as measurement and testing instruments used for compliance and batching verification.
Physical Exertion:
Moderate Work- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Work may include loading and unloading cases of product, setting up, lifting, lowering, and moving product.
Environmental Conditions:
Indoor Work- Indoor environments may include exposure to temperature variations, such as unheated or non-air-conditioned areas.
Travel:
No Regular Travel- This position does not require regular travel.
