Job Description

Position Summary The Production Technician is responsible for efficient, accurate completion of inspections, maintenance, and repair services. This role requires consistent workflow management, disciplined documentation, and the ability to maintain productivity without sacrificing quality.

Performance is measured by billed hours per day, productivity percentage, accuracy, and adherence to shop process. Compensation aligns with the shop's tier-based performance structure. Core Responsibilities Perform maintenance and repair services according to repair orders Conduct thorough digital vehicle inspections with required notes and photos Review repair orders before beginning work to confirm scope and parts availability Maintain steady workflow with minimal idle time between jobs Communicate delays, additional findings, or parts issues promptly to Service Writers Complete all required documentation in Tekmetric before closing repair orders Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work bay Assist other technicians when workload allows Follow opening and closing procedures as assigned Attend daily morning meetings and required team meetings Required Skills Strong mechanical repair ability Ability to follow structured workflow processes Time management and task prioritization Accurate digital inspection documentation Clear internal communication Ability to maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented mindset Required Qualifications Minimum 2-3 years professional automotive repair experience Valid driver's license Own professional-grade tools Ability to use shop management software (Tekmetric experience preferred) Ability to work a full 40-hour week with performance expectations tied to productivity Preferred Qualifications ASE Certifications Experience working in a structured, KPI-driven environment Proven track record of maintaining 80%+ productivity Performance Expectations Minimum productivity: 70% Target productivity: 80%+ Low comeback rate (accuracy is required for profit share eligibility) Complete documentation on all jobs (notes and photos) Participation in monthly and quarterly performance reviews

Employment Type:
Full-Time Compensation Tier placement and compensation are based on measurable performance including billed hours per day and productivity percentage. Overtime impacts productivity calculations. Starting wage depends on experience. #
