! Cardinal Systems Inc. is one of the nation's largest technologically advanced manufacturers of galvanized steel walls for in-ground swimming pools. In addition to steel walls, we manufacture steel steps and benches, aluminum coping, liner track, deck drains, liner bead and other custom fabrications. The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to support safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations. This position requires hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems, PLC-controlled equipment, mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics. The Technician will respond to equipment breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, and work closely with production and maintenance team members to minimize downtime and support continuous improvement throughout the facility. Essential Functions of an
Industrial Maintenance Technician:
Equipment MaintenanceTroubleshooting Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain industrial production equipment and related systems. Perform electrical troubleshooting on industrial machinery, motors, controls, sensors, switches, relays, contactors, VFDs, and other electrical components. Troubleshoot and diagnose PLC-controlled equipment and use PLC systems as a diagnostic tool when identifying equipment faults or operational issues. Identify and correct mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment failures. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and technical documentation. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance according to established schedules. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and work to minimize production downtime. Repair or replace motors, bearings, belts, chains, pumps, valves, cylinders, sensors, and other machine components as necessary. Assist with equipment installations, modifications, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects. Perform welding, fabrication, plumbing, carpentry, and general facility maintenance as needed. FacilityManufacturing Support Maintain working knowledge of facility systems, production equipment, and plant operations. Support maintenance needs across multiple manufacturing departments as assigned. Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend repairs or improvements to increase reliability and efficiency. Communicate equipment status, repairs, and anticipated downtime to Maintenance and Production leadership. Coordinate with operators, supervisors, vendors, and other maintenance personnel when troubleshooting or completing repairs. DocumentationOrganization Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment issues in applicable systems. Maintain tools, equipment, maintenance areas, and workspaces in a safe and organized condition. Assist with maintaining appropriate spare parts and maintenance supplies. Perform other maintenance-related duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications for a
Industrial Maintenance Tech:
Industrial electrical troubleshooting experience required. PLC troubleshooting experience required. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals. Experience troubleshooting motors, sensors, relays, contactors, and VFDs. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Welding and fabrication experience preferred. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication, organization, and time management skills. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required. 1st Shift M-F 6:00 am
