Job Description

Job description: The Performance Group is looking for Line operators to join the team of a local cake manufacturing plant in York, PA. This position is temp to hire, is a great way to start with a local company.
Schedule:
3rd shift 10:00pm-6:00am (Mon-Fri) w/Sat as needed
Pay:
$19.65 per hour Major Responsibilities 1. Understands products specification sheet and makes the necessary changes in tools and supplies ingredients and packaging in accordance with product type and production requirements to the line. 2. Performs set-ups and adjustments on all finishing departments equipment. 3. Reviews line requirements for ingredients and packaging and keeps equipment and employees supplied with the necessary materials as defined by products specifications on an ongoing basis. 4. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices by adhering to company policy and keeping work area and equipment neat and clean on an ongoing basis. 5. Motors equipment performance and reports damage or faulty equipment to supervisor. 6. Inspects various packaging materials for uniformity before use and notifies supervisor of faulty materials 7. Inspect raw materials and finished products for uniformity and reject products out of specification. 8. Follow safety procedures as outlined by company policy. 9. Performs any other duties as assigned. Qualification 1. Must be able to perform repetitive motions, stand for full shifts, and tolerate hot environments. Candidates must also be able to tolerate working around potential allergens (peanuts, eggs, dairy, gluten, soy. 2. Basic reading, writing, and math skills are necessary. 3. High School Diploma or GED 4. Minimum of 1-year experience in production or food manufacturing 5. Machine operator experience and basic computer skills (like using a scanner gun) are also required for most line roles 6. Heavy lifting required 75lb up to 100lb 7. Ability to read and speak English 8.
