Job Title:
Production Technician Job Description The Production Technician assembles vacuum-formed plastic and composite parts, operates vacuum forming equipment, and supports the manufacturing of components that meet strict aerospace quality standards. This role combines hands-on mechanical work with careful attention to detail and offers the opportunity to learn a variety of tasks in a dynamic production environment. Responsibilities Assemble vacuum-formed plastic and composite parts according to engineering specifications and work instructions. Operate vacuum forming machines safely and efficiently to produce high-quality components. Perform deburring and finishing of machined and formed components to meet dimensional and cosmetic requirements. Bond and fasten parts using approved methods, materials, and tools in accordance with specifications. Follow detailed work instructions, drawings, and quality standards to ensure compliance with aerospace requirements. Inspect work for accuracy, completeness, and quality, and report any issues or nonconformances. Use basic hand tools and power tools for assembly, finishing, and general production tasks. Assist in general shop maintenance and organization, including keeping work areas clean, orderly, and safe. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and continuous improvement goals. Adapt to changing priorities and perform a variety of tasks as needed within the production facility. Essential Skills Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Willingness to learn new processes and perform a variety of production tasks. Capability to stand for extended periods during the shift. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as part of regular duties. General mechanical aptitude suitable for production and assembly work. Comfort working in a production facility environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in manufacturing or aerospace (preferred but not required). Experience with general labor or production roles. Familiarity with mechanical assembly or fabrication processes. Interest in developing skills in vacuum forming, bonding, and finishing operations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Belgrade, MT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
