Miller at Work is a family-owned company specializing in seating and furniture solutions for demanding work environments. We serve customers throughout the United States, including 911 emergency communications centers, fire departments, law enforcement agencies, state and local government organizations, and other professional workplaces . The position combines light manufacturing and upholstery, shipping and receiving, warranty/customer service, and occasional field service travel . Our team works directly with customers, sales representatives, and business partners to provide new products, warranty service, repairs, and ongoing support. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, mechanically inclined, and comfortable using basic hand and power tools . Strong communication skills are important, as this position involves working with customers, coworkers, sales representatives, business partners, and installers throughout the country. The ability to adapt to different tasks and responsibilities is essential, as no two days are necessarily the same. Responsibilities Assist with daily production activities as needed, including chair assembly and light upholstery work. Use impact drills, hand tools, and other common tools safely and effectively. Pack inventory and prepare products for shipment. Assist with shipping and receiving, including organizing incoming and outgoing products. Assist with processing customer warranty claims from initial customer contact through resolution. Provide timely first responses to warranty and service inquiries. Review customer-submitted pictures, emails, and descriptions to help identify the work or repairs required. Coordinate repair and service work with customers, sales representatives, business partners, and independent installers throughout the country. Occasionally travel to customer locations for repair and service work, primarily throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, and Maryland . Maintain professional communication with customers and business partners throughout the service process. Assist with other general production, warehouse, shipping, and company tasks as needed. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. 1 year of experience in production, manufacturing, shipping/receiving, repair, maintenance, or a related hands-on field. Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Valid driver's license and clean driving record . Ability to pass a background check . Comfortable using hand tools and power tools such as impact drills. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Dependable, organized, and able to work independently. Professional communication and customer service skills. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and general office applications . Ability and willingness to travel occasionally for field service work. Preferred Qualifications At least 1 year of customer service experience. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Experience with warranty claims, service coordination, or field service. Experience with shipping and receiving or inventory management. Basic upholstery, furniture assembly, or repair experience. Compensation & Benefits $22

The successful candidate will spend time working in production and the warehouse, communicating with customers and business partners, coordinating service work, and occasionally traveling to customer locations. We are looking for someone who is reliable, mechanically inclined, professional, and willing to pitch in wherever needed . No two days are necessarily the same, and the ability to adapt to different tasks is important.
