Depends on Experience The Production Line Technician plays a vital role in maintenance and production. The Production Line Technician reports to the Production Manager and performs various functions in ensuring production processes run efficiently and effectively by providing basic maintenance support to the lines and complying with established production processes.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Maintain a safe work environment and exceptional housekeeping by following established safety procedures including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment.
Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and customer requirements.
Work closely with Production Supervisor and leads on scheduling of production lines.
Communicate with the maintenance department on production needs and perform basic maintenance duties such as equipment set-up, install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment.
Evaluate production equipment for safety and functionality.
Monito production the progress of the production lines and resolve any issues that arise.
Partner with Maintenance teams to ensure Preventative Maintenance requirements are performed, documented and support training with team members for daily activities.
Help train and develop team members for line adjustments, setups, and changeovers.
Guide and help train material handlers on production processes.
Provide technical assistance to team members to achieve goals.
Partner with project teams to share operational requirements for capital investments/automation projects and support project teams with general input ensuring project success.
Ensure that materials are present and in place when needed.
Make sure all waste during production is kept to a minimum.
Track downtime on the production lines to help efficiency.
Check finished products to make sure they meet all quality standards.
Perform other duties as assigned
Trouble-shoot work-related problems by working collaboratively and applying quality standards.
Created/maintained preventative maintenance/calibration schedules/programs on all equipment.
Operate and maintain clean room equipment through preventative maintenance and calibration procedures by adhering to all company standard operating procedures.
Ensured consistency of products by performing routine quality checks, with considerations for environmental factors as well as corporate guidelines.
Conducted hourly quality checks then completed online data entry documentation for production and downtime tracking.
Perform changes/adjustments to production equipment and systems within the established capabilities of each operation, monitoring machine functionality and safe operation.
Utilized basic mathematical skills to figure heights and measurements.
Input and output reconciliation utilizing basic math.
Qualification requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience working in a production environment.
Knowledge of industry-specific equipment and tools.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Ability to sit, walk, and move around for several hours.
Ability to stoop, kneel, and bend.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
