Job Description
Our Production Relief Operator for this position can make up to $24.96 per hour Perform proficiently in different aspects of multiple plant duties. Provide relief in jobs and learn duties of production, packaging, sanitation, and other roles assigned.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform a variety of line duties within the manufacturing environment to include highly skilled / senior-level processing, machine operator, and/or break relief operator jobs (e.g., Receiver, Blend/Filler/CIP/Retort/ Evaporator/Pasteurizer operators). This may include troubleshooting and performing minor maintenance repairs
- Review process data and equipment performance data to improve quality, throughput, and troubleshoot
- Assist with training efforts in functional area as needed
- Review charts, screens, quality check sheets, and specifications that are in both hard copy and electronic format
- Engage in problem solving to assist in improving production, safety, quality, and yields
- Ensure operational efficiencies by positioning work, setting up of jobs, adjusting and operating equipment for proper functions and manufacturing of product
- Perform quality monitoring of statistical information and report on variations to supervisor and lab
- Inspect and identify any issues and perform preventative maintenance when needed
- Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
- Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
- Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
