Job Description
Overview The Production Operator is responsible for loading, unloading, and monitoring machines used in all production processes.. Duties Understand and comply with HSSE policies and standards at all times. This includes reporting, correcting safety hazards, providing improvement suggestions and intervening to stop processes, procedures or people that are creating an HSSE risk. Understand and comply with Quality Management System policies and objectives in all tasks assigned. Suspend or halt any procedure or process that affects safety or quality until a resolution is determined. To intervene and report any defect in material, product, machinery, practice, or event which could affect quality or product performance. Follow instructions and manage tasks to meet deadlines and production needs in your area and support/execute all other tasks outside their role as required. Adheres strictly to all production related procedures and instructions while performing any and all tasks. Meet all physical demands outlined. Requirements Demonstrate effective oral and written communications with all Cortland personnel. Basic computer skills (training for internal systems will be provided). Work Individual setting and maintain workload at average or above average pace. Superior attention to detail. Work in a team environment with the ability to multitask with keeping customer satisfaction in mind. To always ensure that their acts or omissions do not present a danger to themselves, anyone else, the Environment or the safe operation of any plant or equipment. To comply with all HSEQ requirements imposed by clients on their sites. To actively propose and implement improvements to HSEQ systems. To cooperate with the company in achieving HSEQ objectives. To participate fully in Continuous Improvement (LEAD) activities where necessary & when required.
