JSL Technologies is seeking a Naval Systems Integration & Sustainment Engineer to deliver full-lifecycle systems engineering, hardware integration, test & evaluation (T&E), and fleet technical support for the U.S. Navy's

MK 34 & MK 48

Gun Weapon Systems (GWS) and the Naval Fires Control System (NFCS) . Working directly within In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) facilities, you will lead land-based laboratory testing at the Surface Warfare Engineering Facility (SWEF), execute shipboard installations and hardware harvesting, resolve component obsolescence (DMSMS), and author critical engineering alterations for active naval combat platforms

Key Responsibilities:
Systems Integration & T&E:

Develop test procedures and execute hardware/software verification across ISEA laboratories, land-based test sites, and operational naval vessels.

Shipboard & Fleet Technical Assistance:

Provide remote and on-site technical support for On-Board Technical Assistance (OBTA) requests. Perform NFCS equipment harvesting, replacements, and field installations on active ships.

Engineering Changes & Documentation:

Author, review, and maintain Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Ordnance Alterations (ORDALTs), Installation Control Drawings (ICDs), Technical Manuals, and Preventive Maintenance System (PMS) documentation.

Obsolescence & DMSMS Mitigation:

Conduct market research and engineering assessments to resolve Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) for legacy hardware components.

Maintenance & System Diagnostics:

Validate Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs) and execute root-cause troubleshooting on complex electromechanical and combat system interfaces.

Project & Program Coordination:

Support lead engineers with Task Planning Sheets (TPS), project schedules, risk management, budget inputs, allocation plans, and technical data calls for Navy sponsors.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Clearance & Citizenship:

Ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. DoD Secret clearance. and must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future.

Technical Knowledge:

Deep working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering principles as applied to technical hardware or naval combat systems.

Work Environment & Travel:

Ability and willingness to work in industrial labs, land-based test environments, and onboard Navy vessels, including adherence to waterfront safety standards and travel for shipboard technical assistance.

Preferred Qualifications:
Combat System Expertise:

Prior hands-on experience with

MK 34 GWS, MK 48

GWS, Naval Fires Control System (NFCS), or ISEA lab operations.

Defense Workflows:

Familiarity with ECPs, ORDALTs, ShipAlts, ICDs, and DMSMS obsolescence management.

Methodologies & Tools:

Exposure to Agile/Scrum frameworks, advanced technical writing skills, and high proficiency with MS Office.

Security Clearance:

Applicants must have an active security clearance and/or the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain a DoD Government- granted security clearance. Individuals will be subject to a background investigation to include but not limited to, criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness.
