Job Description
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Lead Project Electrical Technician to oversee electrical work on commercial marine projects. Individual vessel projects may range from two weeks to six months , requiring technical expertise, leadership, and the ability to manage work from start to finish. Responsibilities Lead electrical installations and repairs on commercial marine vessels. Coordinate electrical work throughout project lifecycles. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems. Interpret blueprints, schematics, and project drawings. Ensure projects remain on schedule and meet quality standards. Coordinate with customers and project managers. Mentor technicians assigned to project teams. Maintain safety and compliance throughout all phases of work. Qualifications Extensive marine electrical experience. Proven leadership on vessel projects. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Valid driver's license with clean driving record. Must pass a drug screen. No felony convictions. TWIC Card preferred (company assistance available). Technical Assessment Candidates will be evaluated on: Electrical component identification. Troubleshooting methodology. Preventative maintenance knowledge. Practical marine electrical experience. Compensation $25.00-$40.00/hour based on experience. Up to $45.00/hour available for highly experienced "Turnkey" technicians in qualifying positions. Work Environment Field service positions based throughout Southern Louisiana. Travel to customer locations and marine facilities as needed. Minimum Requirements Clean driving record. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen. No felony convictions. TWIC Card not required at hire; company will assist qualified employees in obtaining one. Strong technical troubleshooting abilities. Excellent work ethic and professionalism. IND2
