Proactive, electronics background Candidate Requirements Strong electronics background . Minimum 2 years of experience in the marine industry. Hands‑on experience with Furuno , JRC , Danelec , Sperry , YDK . Ability to work independently and as part of a team (highly important). Proactive and solution‑oriented mindset. Job Description The Marine Electronics Engineer will be responsible for: Installing, servicing, repairing, and inspecting marine electronic equipment. Fault‑finding and diagnosing system failures down to component level. Collaborating with colleagues to design new systems, circuits, and devices , or improve existing technology. Working unsupervised or within a team environment . Demonstrating operational knowledge of a wide range of current applications from various electronics manufacturers. Testing theoretical designs and validating performance. Writing technical specifications . Following defined electronic processes . Systematically improving detailed designs of electronic equipment. Ensuring product compatibility with devices developed by others and reliability in repeated production. Creating user‑friendly interfaces . Ensuring compliance with safety regulations . Participating in project planning and preparing budgets. Writing technical reports . Staying up to date with technological developments and regulatory changes .
