Apply Marine Projects Engineer Location Greece Job Type Permanent We are looking for an experienced Marine Engineer or Naval Architect to join a Technical Department in a hands-on engineering role, taking ownership of technical projects across the fleet. The role combines newbuilding, retrofit and vessel upgrade projects, with involvement from initial technical assessments and design reviews through to shipyard execution, sea trials and delivery. The successful candidate will be expected to bring genuine engineering expertise and contribute to technical decisions, rather than simply coordinate projects. Responsibilities Lead technical projects, retrofit programmes and vessel upgrades from feasibility through to implementation. Review technical designs, specifications and plans, working closely with Class, Flag, shipyards and technical teams. Take an active engineering role in newbuilding projects, including design review, plan approval, construction monitoring and sea trials. Supervise technical work onboard vessels and at shipyards, including site management where required. Evaluate and implement Energy Saving Devices and other energy-efficiency solutions, including technical and financial assessments. Investigate vessel condition and technical issues, supporting troubleshooting and damage investigations. Monitor vessel performance, fuel consumption and efficiency where required. Support the company's wider decarbonisation and GHG-reduction initiatives. Work closely with Technical, Operations and Commercial teams and provide technical input where required. Requirements Experienced Marine Engineer or Naval Architect with a strong engineering background. Proven hands-on experience taking ownership of technical projects, retrofits, modifications or vessel upgrades. Meaningful experience with newbuilding projects, including design/plan review, shipyard monitoring or site supervision. Strong understanding of vessel systems and the ability to assess and evaluate engineering solutions independently. Experience working with Class, Flag, shipyards and technical stakeholders. Knowledge of Energy Saving Devices, energy efficiency or related maritime technologies. Strong understanding of relevant maritime regulations and technical requirements. Excellent English, both written and spoken. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the technical maturity to contribute from day one. The ideal candidate will combine a strong Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering background with proven project ownership across both newbuilding and retrofit environments.
