Job Description

Apply Technical Assistant (Bulk) Location London Job Type Permanent This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy technical department of a reputable shipping company based South West of London. The successful candidate will support the technical department with the maintenance, operations, and management of the fleet. The Technical Assistant will play a key role in ensuring that all vessels are maintained to the highest standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and helping to optimize operational efficiency. Responsibilities
  • Arrangement of Servicing / Repairs / Surveys for up to 6 Bulk Carriers
  • Coordinating Services / Supplies with agents, vessels & departments
  • Following up landing notes (deliveries) and landed items
  • Administration of Vessels' Planned Maintenance System
  • Administration of Vessels' Compliance with Company SMS (Forms)
  • Assisting with Purchasing activities & Budgets
  • Processing Invoices for servicing and supplies
  • Maintaining office & vessels electronic databases Requirements
  • A degree or diploma in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a technical or marine-related role is an advantage, but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of vessel operations, maintenance, and repair processes would be advantageous
  • Familiarity with maritime regulations and safety standards (SOLAS, MARPOL, etc.).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and technical software.
  • Excellent communication, organizational & admin skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
